Town Hall Meeting: January 11, 2007

Dear fellow U.S. citizens:

The U.S. Ambassador to Lesotho, June Carter Perry, would like invite U.S. citizens resident in Lesotho to an American Community Town Hall Meeting on January 11, 2007, at 3:00 pm.

The Ambassador and Embassy staff will discuss U.S. mission activities and developments, address current issues of personal security, including during the February national elections, and answer questions about Embassy services. You will have the opportunity to raise any issues or questions of interest to Americans living in Lesotho.

Date: January 11, 2007

Time: 3:00 p.m.

Venue: Public Diplomacy Room, U.S. Embassy

Purpose: American Community Town Meeting

Please bring your U.S. passport for identification and access purposes.

As is the practice at U.S. Embassies worldwide, the Ambassador will hold Town Hall Meetings two to four times annually (and additionally as circumstances require) with American Citizens to provide updates on security matters and other concerns of the local American community.

We look forward to this opportunity on January 11 to discuss issues of interest to American citizens and to hear from each of you.

U.S. citizens living in or traveling in Lesotho are encouraged to register with the nearest U.S. Embassy through the State Department’s travel registration website, https://travelregistration.state.gov and to obtain updated information on travel and security in Lesotho. Americans without Internet access may register directly with the nearest U.S. Embassy. The Consular Section of the Embassy in Maseru, Lesotho is located at 254 Kingsway Avenue, Maseru 100.
