The U.S Embassy presents the 2007 “Under the Stars” American Film Festival.
In honor of African – American History Month and Women’s History Month, the U.S Embassy is proud to present the first “Under the Stars” American Film Festival in Maseru. All films will be shown free of charge on Thursday evening at 7:00 pm, at Maseru Sun Hotel backlot area. Space will only be available for the first 100 People to arrive.
The Schedule for the films is as follows:
Thursday, March 18: Glory (Action/Drama/War)
US Civil War's first all-black volunteer company, fighting prejudices of both his own Union army and the Confederates. Starring Denzel Washington, Mattew Broderick and Morgan Freeman
Thursday, March 22: Apollo 13 (Adventure/Drama)
The true story of the moon-bound mission that developed severe trouble and the men that rescued it with skill and dedication. Starring Tom Hanks
Thursday, March 29: Philadelphia (Drama)
When a man with AIDS is fired by a conservative law firm because of his condition, he hires a homophobic small time lawyer as the only willing advocate for a wrongful dismissal suit. Starring Tom Hanks and Denzel Washington
Thursday, April 5: The Shawshank Redemption (Drama)
