U.S. Ambassador Robert B. Nolan Presents Credentials to King Letsie III
On October 10, 2007, U.S. Ambassador Robert B. Nolan presented his credentials to His Majesty King Letsie III at Lesotho’s Royal Palace in Maseru. With this presentation, Ambassador Nolan assumed his full responsibilities as U.S. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Kingdom of Lesotho.
During the presentation of credentials ceremony, Ambassador Nolan stated, “Your Majesty, I consider myself most blessed and honored to have been designated by the President to represent the United States in the Mountain Kingdom, particularly at a time when our bilateral relations are flourishing. I look forward to working with you, the members of Your Government, and the Basotho people to build our cooperation on many shared objectives… On behalf of President Bush and Secretary Rice, but especially on behalf of the American people, I offer our view that the common goals and values that we share serve to advance the interests of both our nations. I welcome the challenges and opportunities that await me in further advancing our warm and productive relations. May God Bless the Kingdom of Lesotho and the United States of America.”
